About Us

Safinah aims to be the premier centre for Islamic education, providing knowledge which is specifically catered to you and your whole family’s learning needs at the best learning environments and taught by qualified, passionate and dedicated teachers.

Why the name Safinah?

Safinah means “Ship” or “Ark” in the Arabic language. This name was chosen as a metaphor to the neverending journey we make in life on the ship of knowledge, which continues throughout our entire lives. Learning is a journey we make as part of our obligation and pursuit in becoming outstanding individuals of an excellent community (ummah).

All our classes are conducted once a week. Each session lasts for two full hours. The first hour will be based on the ongoing curriculum of Fardhu ‘Ain subjects (including 15 minutes which will be set aside for q&a and discussion). The second hour is set for the add-on programmes.
